Donise Petersen is the Chief Operating Officer for Raised At Full Draw.
Donise started working for RAFD in 2019. Previously, she worked for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for 11 years; starting with them as an Intern in 2008. During her time with the State Agency she primarily worked as the state Archery Coordinator and managed the Iowa National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP). During a portion of the time, she was contracted with Iowa State University/4-H Extension and served as the appointed State Interim for 4-H Safety and Education of Shooting Sports (SESS) Program Coordinator. With the DNR, Donise was able to coordinate and oversee a variety of youth programs and events such as Explore Bowhunting and Explore Bowfishing.
In 2010, Donise graduated from Iowa State University, (go Cyclones!) with a B.S. degree in Animal Ecology (Natural Resources Ecology and Management) emphasizing in Interpretation (also known as a naturalist). While studying at Iowa State she took a summer internship in Arizona as the Waterfront Department Manager and the Shooting Sports Coordinator. She worked with children of all ages teaching them how to water-ski, wakeboard, jet ski, canoe, kayak and shoot archery and firearms.
Her passion for the outdoors can be traced back to her pre-professional days. She considers herself to be fortunate, as she has a father who instilled his passion, knowledge and heritage in her.
Outside of the office, you will find her committed to her family and faith. Donise and her husband, Nick, have two young boys, Landon and Colton, who are very energetic and outgoing. Together as a family you can find them somewhere outdoors.
CHANGING LIVES IN THE IMAGE OF HUNTING ONE ARROW AT A TIME.
