Born and raised in Central Iowa AJ has been in the woods chasing wild game from an early age. From the first time he went out with his mom and dad when he was only 5 to the many squirrel hunts tagging along until he was able to carry his first weapon he was hooked. After losing his father at the age of 9, AJ continued to grow his passion and love of the outdoors. At the age of 11, he convinced his friends to take the, optional at the time, hunters safety course “because it would be fun and gets us out in the woods”.
Through the help of many outdoor mentors for the years following, AJ has always shared his passion for conservation, outdoor education and the outdoors with anyone he can convince to jump in. AJ has spent16 years as a volunteer, chapter chair and even a stint as a Regional Director for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation where he was able to share his experiences and love of the outdoors. It was because of his time with the RMEF that he was able to connect with and make lasting bonds with the Raised At Full Draw family. And now, he feels absolutely blessed to share his experiences with tomorrow’s youth and new adult hunters and conservationists through the Raised At Full Draw camps.
AJ still lives in Central Iowa and looks forward to sharing what he can at every opportunity. He would trade any day to be able to share time with friends and family in the outdoors, but given the option he will always chose to share it with the best hunting partner a guy could ever ask for, his wife.
CHANGING LIVES IN THE IMAGE OF HUNTING ONE ARROW AT A TIME.
